Village with a View
At the beginning of the 17th century, Everton probably had a population of no more than two to three hundred people.
The numbers had swelled to five hundred by 1800 and the town took on the role of a holiday resort. In 1831, Everton's
population totalled some four thousand, five hundred and just twenty years later had reached twenty five thousand, eight
hundred and eighty three.
