Florence Louise Titherington was born in Anfield, Liverpool in 1910. Her story takes us from the first sight of Germans in World War 1 through her childhood years until the start of World War 11.

It is a compelling tale of life as it really was, with all its hardships, seen through the eyes of a child. The story continues with Flo's second book 'From the Stripper with Love'.

Please note, this is not a book about a striptease artist. Flo's job was as a tobacco stripper in Ogden's tobacco factory in Liverpool !!! Many have been the mistakes and disappointments over confusion about this !!!
